If you are a website owner, then you may be using Cloudflare, if not then I highly recommend you to use Cloudflare, as it will make your website faster and more secure.
If you are using Cloudflare, then you may not be able to access your WordPress dashboard and this is because of the DNS zone which is managed by Cloudflare and not by your Hosting provider.
Some steps to follow to access your WordPress:
So here are some detailed steps that you need to follow to access your WP dashboard in the case of Cloudflare.
Step:1 Login to Cloudflare
Firstly, you need to log in to your Cloudflare account and there you will find the list of websites, you have added to Cloudflare.
So, in my case, I will follow Bluepreneurs.com as you can see in the image given below.
Step:2 Visit DNS Zone
As soon as you will open your website, you will simply land on this page, where you can see your website’s Analytics.
After this, you just need to look at the top, there you will find a DNS option, then you have to click on that option.
Step:3 Add A Record (In DNS Zone)
After you follow that DNS option, you will land on this page, from where our work starts.
All you need to do is, first of all, you have to add A Record, in order to access to WP dashboard.
So for this click on ‘Add Record’.
Then you need to set the field option as:
- Type- A
- Name- Your subdomain name (it is forum in my case)
- IPv4 address- Here you have to write your IPv4 address.
I know here in this field, many of you will get stuck, but don’t worry, take it easy, it is very simple with me.
So in this case all you need to do is contact your hosting provider which is Hostinger. Ask them to tell IPv4 address, so that you can paste it over here.
You can also tell the whole situation to them and they will for sure help you out.
After getting your IPv4 address, just paste it into this section.
Now, let us continue to our field.
- TTL- Auto
- Proxy Status- DNS only
As you can see in the image, given below.
Step:4 Now Wait
After completing all these steps properly, all you need to do is relax.
You have to wait for some time for the DNS to get updated.
Sometimes it gets updated within 15-20 minutes, but in some cases, it may take up to 72 hours for DNS to get updated.
You can check back again by trying to access your WordPress or subdomain website.
