Step:1 Purchase the Best Web Hosting

After purchasing a domain name, the very first step on which you should focus is Web Hosting.

Firstly, you should choose a hosting provider, where you can host your website.

So first you need to come to the Hostinger website and now as you can see there is a total of 3 plans available under shared hosting.

So all you need to do is to choose a plan in which you are comfortable.

Choose the Hosting Period

Now after choosing your plan, you just simply need to choose the period, which means that for how many months do you want Hostinger hosting.

The maximum period you choose, the more benefit you will get. But it depends on you, you can choose any period.

Step:2 Add your Domain to Hosting

Now after you have purchased domain and hosting, then you need to add your domain name to your hosting provider.

For adding your domain name to your hosting, you first need to log in to your cPanel or hPanel.

After logging in, you need to click on ‘Add website’, as you can see in the image, given below.

After this, you have to write your domain name (which you have purchased from GoDaddy) and also need to set your password and then click on ‘Add website’, as you can see in the image, given below.

Once you do this, Hostinger will say that your domain name is not pointing to our nameservers and it will also display its nameservers, just copy those 2 nameservers in your notepad.

Now you need to point or connect your domain to your hosting (Hostinger in my case.)

Step:3 Connect your Domain to Hosting

Now the main and very important step comes.

This is the step where many people face problems, as they are beginners and unable to connect their domain name with their hosting.

In order to install WordPress and build your website, you first need to connect your domain name (which you have purchased from GoDaddy) to your hosting providers.

So for this, all you need to do is just follow the steps given below and you will be easily able to point your domain name from GoDaddy to your hosting service and believe me this is going to be very easy with me.

Log in to your GoDaddy account

So the very first step that you need to do is simply log in to your GoDaddy account, from which you have purchased your domain name.

After logging in to your account, you will find the list of your domain names (in the form of boxes) which you have purchased from GoDaddy.

Just choose the domain which you want to connect to your hosting, by clicking on the 3 dots at the top-right part of the box.

Go in Mange DNS

After clicking on the 3 dots, you will be able to see the ‘Manage DNS’ option, simply click on that option, as you can see in the image, given below.

So, once you come to the DNS Zone, you will be able to see the Nameservers part. Usually, there are only 2 nameservers, which are of GoDaddy.

But in my case, you will see the nameservers of my hosting provider. In your case, it will be different (which is of GoDaddy).

Now listen,

Each hosting provider has its own nameservers, therefore firstly, you should log in to your hosting cPanel, hPanel or account and there you have to look for the nameservers of your hosting.

Or you can simply contact your hosting support or can search on Google to get the nameservers of your hosting.

After getting nameservers you have to click on the change button, as you can see in the image given below

Now you gave to click on, I’ll use my own nameserver and then enter the nameservers of your hosting providers.

In my case, I have already added my Hostinger nameservers.

After updating the nameservers, just simply click on the save button and this step of connecting a domain to hosting is almost over.

Usually, nameservers get updated within a half or an hour, but sometimes, it can take more than this.

Step:4 Install WordPress

If you were also searching on Google- I bought a domain from GoDaddy now what, now you need not.

Because I have told you the most basic and important steps, after purchasing a domain name.

But, it doesn’t end here, let us move further.

Now, you need to install WordPress on your domain name to make a WordPress website.

Login to your Hosting account

In order to instal WordPress on your website, you first need to log in to your hosting account which is cPanel or hPanel.

Choose Domain to install WordPress

After logging in you have to choose the domain, which you have added recently.

So, here in my case, I am going with my primary domain only to show you.

Click on Auto Installer

Once you choose the domain, then you will simply land on this page.

Here you simply need to choose the Auto Installer box, to install WordPress on your domain, which you have purchased from GoDaddy.

Select WordPress

After you follow the Auto Installer box, you will simply come to this page, where you have to choose the software for your website.

As you can below, there are multiple options available over here, but you should choose WordPress.

So for this, you just need to click on the select button, as you can see in the image, given below.

Add WP Login Details

Now it’s time to install WordPress on your domain name.

So to do this, you first need to add some log in details so that you can log in to your WordPress by entering these details.

You have to enter these details:

• Administrator email
• Administrator password
• Username
• Website Title

After adding these details, all you need to do is simply click on the Install button.

So after you click on the Install button, you will be able to log in to your WordPress dashboard.

So for this, you can simply follow the link, which Hostinger is showing you.

Or you can simply type your domain name and after that add /wp-admin.

For example- www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin

It will take you to the login page of your WordPress. Now enter the details is asking.

Step:5 Set up your WordPress

After installing and logging in to your WordPress dashboard, you have to set up your WordPress website by doing some basic settings.

So here in this article, I will show you some basic and important settings that you must do before starting your work on your website.

Install a good Theme

A Theme makes a website attractive and due to this users will stay on your website for a long time.

In your WordPress, you will get a panel on the left side, which is called the WP side panel.

There you have to go to the themes section under the Appearance section.

There you will be able to see the installed themes and activated theme (which is default by WP).

If you want to add a new theme or want to upload your custom theme, which you have downloaded from external sites, so for this you need to click on the Add New button (at the top part).

After this, you can see there are many free themes available over here. If you want to upload your custom theme, you can even do this, by clicking on the upload theme button.

Below the Appearance section, you will find the section of Plugins, where you can simply install or delete a plugin.

Plugins are basically some software that makes your website work smarter and they help in many ways.

Therefore there are some basic plugins that you need to install in your WP dashboard.

• Sassy Social Share
• Google site kit
• Thrive Architect

Besides these plugins, there are many plugins, which you can install according to your requirements.

Customize your website

Under the Appearance section and below the theme option, you will find the Customize option.

Now, this is the most important part of your website, as before publishing content on your website, you first need to customise your website.

If you will come to the customise section, you will find many options on the left side. Customization options are different in every theme.

But there are some basic options, that you will find in all the themes, as you can see in the image, given below.

Inside these options, there are many customization options and these options will help you to make your website more attractive and beautiful.

Step:6 Create a Business Email

You may be familiar with a Business email, which is created of your domain name.

For example- info@yourdomain.com

After adding your domain name to your hosting provider, you can simply create your own Business email on your hosting account.

You should create a business email so that you can add it to your contact page on your website, as it looks professional.

Creating a business email is 100% free, you just need to follow these steps:

Come in email section

So first, you need to come to your hosting account (Hostinger in my account).

Then you have to come to the Email section and then choose the domain of which you want to create a business email.

Add an email account

After choosing the domain name, you simply need to click on the ‘Add email account‘ to create a new business email.

Once you do this, then you need to add the name of your business email and a password.

For example- you can name it as info, contact, business, support etc and then after this name your domain name will come.

After adding the name and password, just simply click on the create button.

Once you click on the create button, your business email will be created and then you can simply log in to your webmail.

Step:7 Start adding Content

So once you are done with all these things like connecting domain to hosting and creating a business account, your next and the main step comes.

Now you need to start adding content or blog posts on your website/blog so that you can rank these posts on Google and can gain traffic.

Choose a Niche first

Before publishing content, you need to choose a Niche of your website/blog.

Like in my case, my website (bluepreneurs.com) is based on sharing content relevant to Affiliate Marketing, Blogging, WordPress, SEO, Email Marketing etc.

So you also need to do is choose a niche of your website and it can be anything like health, freelancing, travel etc.

After choosing a niche you need to start publishing content on your website.

But, make sure that first, you are doing the following things:

• Keyword Research- You have take out come low competitive keywords, so that you can work on it and can get rank on Google.
• Optimize your article (SEO)- In order to rank on Google, you need to do SEO of your artcile.
• Provide value in article- Make sure taht you provide value in your artcile for your readers on your website.

Step:8 Submit to Search Console

This is also one of the most important steps that you should not miss.

You have to add your website to the Google Search Console, as it will tell Google about the presence of your website.

It will also help your website to get indexed and rank fast.

Verify website in Search Console

Now after creating a website on WordPress, you need to visit Google Search Console.

Here you have to verify your domain. As you can see there are two ways, either by URL or by domain. You can go with any of the options.

Once, you put your domain or URL, it will ask you to verify it, which you can see simply by adding the HTML code, or by making some changes in your DNS Zone (do as Google Search Console is asking to do).

Submit Sitemap to Search Console

After you verify your website in Google Search Console, now you need to submit your website sitemap in Google Search Console, which is very beneficial.

But, first of all, you need to get your Sitemap URL, which you can easily get when you will search on Google- www.yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml.

Now after you search this, you will be able to see your posts, pages, and categories sitemap.

Now copy this term only- sitemap_index.xml

Come in the Sitemap section

After coming to your Google Search Console account, you have to come to the sitemap section.

After coming here, you can see a section, where you need to paste this term- sitemap_index.xml after your domain name, see the image given below.

After this, just simply click on the submit button.

After you submit the Sitemap, it will you success, but if it shows an error, then don’t worry about it, it may take up to 24-48 hours. Have Patience…

Step:9 Monetize your website

Now you need to decide that through which do you want to Monetize your website to make money online with it.

Today there are multiple ways through which you can monetize your website and generate a lot of revenue from it.
